I never used to wear Babyphat nor did I pay any attention to it. It was too ghetto for me. Too loud. Bangles, gold chains and stuff dripping from her clothes incessantly and illogically! Not to mention that cat! Oh my goodness, that gold cat she has encrusted on all her attire was nauseating, to say the least.
Girls, I have changed my mind! There is no doubt in my mind that Kimora is FIERCE! Like the Salad girls. She is really something and I am glad I took the time to be hooked on Kimora, Life in the Fast Lane.
The woman is LOUD!! Sigh!! My hero!!!!! She says it like it is, when it is. Period! I want to be Kimora! She was voted one of America’s most hated women and I know why. She stands up for what she believes in.
What Kimora believes in is that all women, regardless of size have a right to dress gorgeously! She is not only for the stick thin woman, but for the woman with curves!!
While I am it. Skinny girls, I love you to death, but please don’t embarrass the family. EAT SOMETHING!! It is shameful to die of anorexia. Your family will never live it down.
Back to Kimora
This is the part of her biography that will interest us daughters of Africa to the South. She started modeling at 13 years of age. She made a name for herself, but more importantly, she caught the eye of Russell Simmons.
If you don’t know Russell Simmons, I will tell you only one thing. He is a very, very, very rich black man. Nothing else matters to us.
He married her and made her rich. That is the end of that story. She used his money and his connections and his company to create an empire for herself.
The truth is, I didn’t think she deserved it at first, but now I think she does. This is an opinion and nothing but an opinion. There is something very asexual about Russell Simmons. I can’t imagine a woman as passionate and Kimora screaming beneath the sheets with him. I just can’t imagine it, but obviously it happened. They have two of the most beautiful children I have seen in a long time.
Her Fashion
I will start with the truth. I can’t afford any of her stuff. Every time I try to buy it at knock off prices, I run the other direction screaming for dear God and Jesus to help me out.
The woman’s prices are a shocker. My advice to pregnant women, don’t take a look at her stuff until you want to give birth. One price tag will have you in labour. She is too expensive for me. I am out of her league financially.
But, I have a sewing machine and an eye for remembering detail and so do you daughters of Africa to the South. And with that knowledge, I say to you Enjoy Kimora’s fashions. Go home and recreate. We are women from the third world. We do what we gotta do!!
